ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Hi, I’m Amy!

My passion is helping Washington, D.C., job seekers across generations land their next great position with communication skills and powerful résumés that help them stand out to employers. I’m a Certified Career Coach and Professional Résumé Writer with personal experience transitioning from one career to another.

After 20 years of experience working in human resources and employee benefits consulting/compliance, life happened! I met and married my husband who, at the time, was in the Air Force. We traveled to San Angelo, TX, for his next assignment and welcomed our son a year later.

Between not being able to find a job in my field and the uncertainty of my husband’s job, I wanted to continue working while providing consistency for our son. I decided it was time for a change, leveraging my HR background and extensive insights into what employers are looking for in candidates. I became a certified résumé writing coach and started taking on clients in the community.

Meet Amy

When my husband’s next assignment brought us back to DMV, I continued this new career journey and gained my first local client, a lobbyist. I quickly learned much about Capitol Hill and started gaining traction as a résumé writer. I obtained my career coaching certification in 2010 to provide more robust support for job seekers navigating this highly competitive market.

That said, I understand the stress and anxiety that comes along with finding not just a job but the RIGHT job. One that isn’t simply a paycheck but also fills your soul! To that end, I work alongside each of my clients helping them achieve a successful career transition.

Take the next step toward your dream job today.

"I believe change is possible and sometimes critical. I believe in working towards one's strengths."
